Used cars warranty
Information about the differences.
When you purchase a vehicle from us, you will receive the legally required warranty of twelve months. If you wish, you can also purchase an extended used car warranty for 199€. At this point we would like to explain the differences, since warranty and guarantee often mix up in the use of language.
Warranty
Warranty means that the seller assures that the sold item is free from defects at the time of delivery. The seller assumes liability for all defects that exist at the time of sale. Excluded are defects about which the buyer was informed in writing.
The burden of proof lies with the seller within the first six months. Within these first six months he must prove that the defect was not present at the time of delivery. After the six months, the burden of proof is reversed and the buyer must prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
In order to make sure that there are no warranty claims, we check vehicles sold by us for defects and have them checked independently by DEKRA.
In case of a warranty claim, you should first make sure that the defect is indeed one. For this purpose, it must be possible to prove that the defect was present at the time of purchase and that it is not a quality defect on the part of the manufacturer. If it is undoubtedly a warranty case, contact us immediately, as the seller has the right to rectify the defect.
Warranty
The guarantee is an additional service that can be purchased if necessary and is in principle comparable to insurance, which is liable if something breaks. In the event of damage, the warranty insurance company checks whether the damage is covered by the warranty and then covers the costs of repair or reworking if necessary.
